SHOVELERS IN FLIGHT OVER THE REEDS
A fleeting moment of golden light at Ham Wall after two hours of waiting in the hide for the rain to clear. This flock of Shovelers, with a single Wigeon mixed in on the left, took flight just as the sun broke through the January haze. It’s these brief windows of perfect light that make the long, damp winter sessions on the Somerset Levels so rewarding.
