OPIUM POPPY IN THE MIDDAY SUN
I love the contrast between the delicate, silk-like petals of the opium poppy and its rugged, bristly stem. Captured from a low angle against a plain blue sky, the shallow depth of field allows the fine details and soft pink colour to be seen in perfect clarity. It’s a simple shot that captures the stillness of a Wiltshire summer.
